Granite Falls residents involved in head-on colision

Granite Falls residents Gunval Knudson, 81, and Daryl Roschild, 44, walked away from what appeared to be a violent head on collision with two pickup trucks that occurred just past Highway 23 on Highway 212 on Thursday at approximately 9:00 a.m.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol incident report Knudson, driving a 2010 Chevy was heading east when he attempted to turn north on  Renville County Road 37 when he collided with Roschild who was driving a 1995 Ford.
Knudson said that he may have a torn rotator cuff as a result of the accident, but was fortunate not have any broken bones.
“I am on the mend and thankful for that,” he said.
Roschild was reported to have no apparent injuries. Airbags were deployed by both automobiles.
