Dr. Anthony Nwakama will begin providing orthopedic services at the Granite Falls Hospital starting Monday, September 20. He will see patients regarding the diagnosis and treatment of bones, muscles, nerves, ligaments and tendons in consultation at the hospital. He will also be performing orthopedic surgery procedures at the hospital such as knee arthroscopies, ganglion cyst removal, trigger finger release and carpal tunnels.
Dr. Nwakama is a graduate of Howard School of Medicine, providing comprehensive orthopedic surgery specializing in minimally invasive total joint replacement, arthroscopy surgery, hand surgery, rotator cuff surgery, and sports medicine.
He completed his residency in Ortho-pedics at Mayo Clinic in Rochester and then went on to complete an upper extremity fellow-ship at the University of Minnesota.
Board Certified by the Fellow of American College of Orthopedic Surgery, American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, and the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice, Dr. Nwakama has extensive experience in Orthopedic Medicine.
