Carmen A. Carlson passed away on Dec. 24, 2016 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Mountain Home, Arkansas at the age of 94 years young. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clayton, her brother Robert and her parents, Clarence and Agnes Lexvold.
Her survivors include son Richard (Jan) Carlson of Mountain Home, AR; daughter Sandra (Larry) Ogden of Lincoln, NE and son Tommy (Inge) of Laughlin, NV; seven grandchildren: Mark, Julie, Michael, Gregory, Jennifer, Heather, and Scott; nine great grandchildren; sister-in-law Lois Johnson; and several nieces and nephews.
Carmen worked as a teller at the Granite Falls Bank for many years. She was active in her church, VFW Auxiliary and Legion Auxiliary. She and Clayton moved to Mountain Home in October of 2001, to be closer to family. Clayton passed away in December of 2001. She maintained a fairly active life, traveling and visiting with family. She had her own apartment until 2007 when she moved into a senior residence. She moved to the nursing home in June of 2016.
A Memorial Service will be held at Granite Falls Lutheran Church on Saturday, August 5 at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Steve Carmany officiating. Memorials should be directed to the Granite Falls Lutheran Church.
