Patricia Darlene Hoyer passed away Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Granite Falls Health Care Center and Rice Hospice in Granite Falls.

Pat was born May 26, 1943 in Montevideo to Delbert and Ione Weckwerth and graduated from West High School in Minneapolis in 1961.

She married Lanny Hoyer February 6, 1965 in Minneapolis and moved to Granite Falls the next day. Pat started as a lunch ticket puncher and retired as Head cook for both Granite Falls High School and Bert Raney Elementary School in 2009 after 25 years.

She loved bowling and participated in 45 State and 27 national tournaments. She was also the league secretary for many years for her bowling league, Ladies 1st Handicap and was a board member of the Granite Falls Bowling Association.

Pat was a member of St Paul Lutheran church and served in many areas including Sunday school teacher. She was involved in her community and served on the Granite Falls Park Board for over 20 years. She was a member of her local TOPS/WOW chapter for many, many years.

Pat is survived by her husband of 53 years, Merlyn Lanny Hoyer, children Jeff Hoyer of Minneapolis, Shelly (Brad) Rogers of Clearwater, grandchildren Chris (Danielle) Hoyer of St Cloud, Hannah (Daniel) Fiedler of Bloomington, Emily Hoyer of Clearwater, great grandchildren Aiden Heigl and Eliana Fiedler, niece/daughter Jenelle Donner of Sacred Heart and sisters in law Janice Millam of Blaine and Katie (Jim) Keller of Granite Falls,  many special nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and one great-great niece.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Roger Weckwerth. Memorial services were held at St Paul Lutheran Church in Granite Falls on Monday, March 19. Wing-Bain Funeral Home (www.wingbain.com) assis-ted the family with arrangements.
