Ronald Dean Beito, 79, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 22, 2018, at Parkview Care Center in Buffalo. He was born on, May 7, 1938, to Lloyd and Alta (Halvorson) Beito. Ronnie attended Asbury Country School while also helping maintain the family farm. He married Deanne Gale Haats of Maynard on December 29, 1961. Together they had three daughters.
His initial career began at Thorstad Construction Company in Maynard. He then moved his family to Winsted, where he was employed at Sterner Industries and Scherping Welding. These positions provided the foundational skills of construction and welding, which helped him launch his own company, Beito Welding. Ronnie took the most pride in his family and work. He was fascinated with airplanes and aeronautics and had an appreciation for Farmall C and Allis Chalmers tractors.
He loved tinkering in his shop and teaching others his trade. Often, he returned to the family farm and enjoyed sitting around the kitchen table with relatives, reminiscing about the “good ol days”, telling wonderful, humorous stories. Ronnie was a lifelong learner, always looking for his next invention. He encouraged his children and grandchildren to work hard and to follow their dreams.
