Landon Evans, 22 years, of Revere, died on September 21, 2018, at North Memorial Medical Center in Minneapolis. Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 26, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the St. Mathias Catholic Church and will continue on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the St. Mathias Catholic Church in Wanda. There will be a Parish Prayer Service on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at St. Mathias Catholic Church. Service will be held at the St. Mathias Catholic Church on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. The clergy will be Father Anthony Hesse. Interment will be at the St. Mathias Catholic Cemetery.

Landon Lee Evans was born on October 16, 1995, in Springfield, the son of Jonathan Evans and Tanya Ruprecht. He attended Redrock Central School and graduated from Yellow Medicine East High School in Granite Falls. He attended SMSU in Marshall. Landon worked for Plotz Timber Harvest, Elevator Works in Lamberton, and helped on the family farm and was currently working for Ralco Nutrition in Marshal as a Mechanical Technician.

He was a talented artist and had great potential. He had a great sense of humor and enjoyed teasing and making people laugh. He enjoyed being outdoors – hunting, fishing, bow fishing, golfing, sand volleyball, time at the lake, hanging out with his dog Sadie, and being on the farm. His competitive spirit became clear during the games of Darts he would play with family and friends. He was never too busy for time with his family and enjoyed his visits with his grandparents.

He is survived by his father – Jonathan (Emily) Evans of Lamberton; mother – Tanya Hunter (friend – Charlie Aufenthie) of Marshall; grandparents – Jim and Donna Evans of Lamberton and Nick Jenniges of Wanda; siblings – Jaymee Ruprecht of Wood Lake, Hannah Evans of Lamberton, Madeline Evans of Lamberton, and Abigale Evans of Lamberton; uncles – Chad and Todd; aunts Mary and Tammy; a nephew – Bentley Hultquist; and several cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandmother – Karen Jenniges and uncles Jeremy and Perry. Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in Lamberton.
