Allison Rose Dahm, age 9, was called to heaven on Friday July 23, 2010 unexpectedly, after a brief illness.  Allison faced many health struggles in her life and smiled her way through each one.
Allison’s funeral was held July 28 at Lord of Life Lutheran Church of Sioux Falls, South Dakota.            Allison was born on November 19, 2000, in Sioux Falls. She was baptized and attended church at Lord of Life Lutheran. During her short time on earth, Allison touched many lives with her sweet spirit, smile, and laugh.  She attended John Harris Elementary, having just completed the third grade.  Allison also had many friends and fans at Children’s Care Hospital and School.
Allison loved swimming, playing on the computer, and reading Junie B. Jones books.  Other favorites included riding the school bus, going to school, and playing board games with her sisters.  Allison was happiest spending time with and bringing joy to her family and friends.  Her smile melted hearts and changed lives.
In May of 2010, Allison and her family were blessed to enjoy a fun filled week at Disney World, sponsored by the Make a Wish Foundation of South Dakota.
Grateful for having shared her life are her parents, Pam (Buchholz) and Mark Dahm and her sisters Ellie and Emma of Sioux Falls. Also grieving her loss are maternal grandparents Merlin and Sylvia Buchholz of Granite Falls, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins, and special caregiver and  best friend, Marjane Burgard.             She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Cliff and Jackie Dahm, Uncle Joe Barth, Uncle Ron Dahm, Cousin Jesse Dahm, and twin sister Samantha.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Make a Wish Foundation of South Dakota.
