Sharon Lee Standfuss, 65, of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, formerly of Renville, died on Wednesday, December 16, 2009 following a short battle with stage four breast cancer and complications.
A memorial service was held at her son's house in Waveland, Mississippi on Monday, December 21.
A second memorial service will be held at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Renville on January 16, 2010 at 3 o’clock p.m. Her final resting place will be in Renville.
She was born on November 26, 1944 in Wabasso, to Leo and Erna Kuester.
Sharon is preceded in death by her father, Leo.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 46 years, Everett Standfuss of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi; one son, Curt Standfuss and his wife Lynn of Waveland, Mississippi; three daughters, Angie Jensvold and her husband Sean of Granite Falls; Shellie Standfuss and her significant other, Jeff of Wood Lake; and Christine Firle and her significant other, Scott of Bay St. Louis, Mississippi; nine grandchildren, Amilee, Kayla, River, Halie, Brandon, Bruce, Bradley, Devin and Dylan. As well as four great-grandchildren, Thomas Jr., Jayce, Lex and Alia and two that will be welcomed to this world after her passing. Sharon also leaves her mother, Erna Kuester of Redwood Falls, and two sisters, Phyliss Kammerer and her husband Wayne of Darwin, and Gloria Butenhoff and her husband Calvin of Sanborn, to mourn her loss.
Sharon played a very active role in the lives of others. She was always a giver to those who needed her, in most cases, putting herself last. She was a sparkling light in our lives and now in heaven.
