Frederick L Jensen, 89, of Clarkfield, died at the Care Center in Clarkfield on Thursday, February 4, 2010.
Funeral services were held on Monday, February 8 at the Clarkfield Care Center, officiated by Pastor Steve Weston of Healing Waters Parish, with burial in the Clarkfield City Cemetery.
Frederick Leslie Jensen was born February 10, 1920 in Iowa to parents George and Clara (Thompson) Jensen. He was one of seven children.
The Jensen family moved to a farm east of Clarkfield in 1940. Here, Fred, lived with his family until moving into Clarkfield.
Frederick had been disabled since the age of 2 years, when he became ill with polio and meningitis. He has been a resident at the Clarkfield Care Center for the past 24 years.
Frederick is survived by two sisters, Esther (Curtis) Hanson of Montevideo, Erma Olson of Everett, Washington, one brother Alfred (Donna) Jensen of International Falls and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Thelma Kluckman and brothers Fayette and Virgil Jensen.
Lynner Funeral Home of Clarkfield was in charge of arrangements.
