After a 53-0 loss to BOLD on Friday, October 9, YME was scheduled to play the Redwood Valley Cardinals in the first round of section/district playoffs. YME was the number seven seed while Redwood was the number two seed. Facing a team with a better record, the Sting were 1-7 and the Cardinals were 5-3, the Sting were unable to pull it through and make it to the next round. The final score ended up being 39-15, with the win going to the Cardinals.
