Girls Basketball: Sting fail to put away conference leader ACGC

For the second time in the last three games Yellow Medicine East fell to a West Central South leader at the buzzer losing to Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City by three 39-36 Tuesday night in Granite Falls.

In their final home game of the season, YME would lead by one, 36-35, with 45 seconds to go before ACGC’s Lauren Kinzler made two free throws to put the Falcons ahead for good in both the game and in the West Central South Conference title race.

Sophomore post Angie Scheffler would once again lead the Sting from the low-post with 10 points and five rebounds. Front court mate, Emily Baker, would pull down another five boards and add eight points in the effort.
