New York musician performs at Bluenose

Jon Dell brought his live folk music to Bluenose Gopher Public House on the evening of November 16th. Dell performed original music and shared many musings and the stories behind his songs. There were happy songs as well as somber songs about subjects such as losing a family member or a friend to death. Dell shared a story about a van that broke down on him five different occasions during a three month tour. He also shared a story about returning from a tour only to have the fire marshal show up at his apartment to turn off the electricity thanks to a landlord who hadn’t paid the bill. It was also the middle of winter in Harlem, NY. Dell says he was happy to play Bluenose for his first time and plans on returning again.

Many of the best ways to help others costs nothing at all, aside from some time and effort.
