After several years of not having these suppers because of Covid, the 13th Chippewa/Yellow Medicine Counties Cancer Survivor and Caregiver Recognition Supper was held on April 29, 2023 at the Maynard Community Center. Survivors shared their stories of their cancer journeys. This year’s honorary survivors included from LtoR: Michael Groothuis-Montevideo; Di and Dale Lalim-Maynard; Bea Hoppe-Montevideo; Jean Feldman-Granite Falls; and Milt Wubben- Clara City. Not pictured is Lisa Knutson-Granite Falls. The 30th Annual Relay for Life Event will be held in Smith Park, Montevideo on Friday, June 9 from 5-11 pm. Opening Ceremony and Survivor Walk will take place at 6:15 p.m. Caregiver Walk approximately 8:10 (before luminary lighting). Stop by the Survivor Tent to register. We would like to have 100 survivors attend the Relay this year.
