Addicted Boudoir, LLC opens in Granite Falls

Addicted Boudoir, LLC has opened it’s doors in Granite Falls. Reba Hundt is the owner and sole photographer in her studio that specializes in boudoir photography. What is boudoir? By definition, boudoir means “a women’s bedroom; a women’s private room”. Boudoir is a style of photography meant to empower the women that do it. It gives them an intimate setting to embrace who they are and what makes them beautiful.

The man behind the donation

Many in the local area have heard that a multi-million dollar donation was bequeathed to the Montevideo Veterans Home project, resulting in the home being able to include the addition of a large, state of the art community gathering space. The person responsible for the donation is Steve Williams who grew up in Clarkfield, and himself was a Veteran.

Minnesota regulators vote to require environmental review for proposed CO2 pipeline–but only for 2 out of 10 impacted counties

Last week, the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission (PUC) unanimously voted to require an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) as a necessary component of the permitting process for Summit Carbon Solutions’ (Summit) carbon dioxide (CO2) pipeline. In doing so, the PUC denied Summit’s attempt to fast-track the review process of its hazardous CO2 pipeline project and agreed with Montevideo- based CURE (Clean Up the River Environment) and the majority of organizations, Tribes, and individual Minnesotans who weighed in during the recent comment period requesting a rigorous environmental review.

NAMI Minnesota offers a free mental health and wellness education program for all people in Minnesota

NAMI Minnesota is launching a new initiative. Hearts+Minds is a free wellness program designed to educate and empower individuals to manage their mental and physical health. It was developed by NAMI National, the nation’s largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to building better lives for millions of Americans since 1979.

Canadian resident hopes to find people in local area who attended Winter Dance Party to share their memories

Sevan Garabedian, of Canada, is not actually from the generation that had the opportunity to enjoy the music of the likes of Ritchie Valens and Buddy Holly in person. However, Garabedian grew up in Montreal listening to the music of the 1950s, and became very interested in the stories behind the music.

Question: I was driving on the freeway during the worst part of a recent storm. Just had a question— are people supposed to use their emergency flashers when they are driving? So many cars on the freeway were, and it made it impossible to tell if someone was actually stopped or moving slowly (also, if they changed lanes, there was no way to tell).
