Brandon Johnson grew up in the Clarkfield area, and will be returning along with his St. Cloud based band, the Honeybadgers, to perform at the Clarkfield Fire Department’s St. Patrick’s Dance to be held at the Hazel Run City Hall Saturday, March 18th.
Chad Reimer (Granite Falls) and Justin Weckwerth (Montevideo) come from small towns in western Minnesota where everyone knows your name. On Tuesday night at the National Bowling Stadium, they were able to put together a score of 1,136 to take the lead in Standard Doubles at the 2023 United States Bowling Congress Open Championships, giving the bowling world the chance to know their names.

Curt Holt, former Football Coach and teacher at GFHS from 1956 to 1961 passed away on February 4th. The funeral date has not been set. I think most of us have come to the point in winter where we don’t maybe pay as much attention to the forecast, kind of expecting winter to be done with its wrath by now. At least, I know that’s how I’ve been functioning.
Congratulations to Ben Albertson who was Track Champion in the Streeter class at the Fiesta City Speedway in Montevideo this last racing season! Ben’s son Landon stood in for Ben to receive his trophy at the racing banquet as Ben was attending his daughter Kayleigh’s dance competition in Brookings, SD last Saturday. The Lakeview Mystiques that Kayleigh Albertson dances with got 1st place in the Brookings, SD Just for Kix Competiton last Saturday.

Today I thought we could review some of those risk factors – however, please keep in mind that if several of these risk factors apply to you, it certainly doesn’t mean that you will definitely get dementia.
