In celebration of National FFA Organization Week, Farmward Cooperative supported local FFA chapters with donations made on behalf of Farmward Cooperative and AgQuest Financial Services, Inc. including the Yellow Medicine East chapter of Future Farmers of America.
Last week, Yellow Medicine East freshman Bailey Mortenson broke the girl’s basketball school record for most points scored in a single game. Mortenson scored 43 points in the Sting’s 84-47 section win over Wabasso. The record was previously held by Jenny Kuehn (2000 graduate) with 37 points scored in a game.
Yellow Medicine East Unified STING students had the opportunity to meet up with the Willmar unified team for a day of collaboration at the Prairie Woods Environmental Learning Center earlier this week. They worked on skills to make them great leaders and inclusive students.

At last Tuesday evening’s meeting of the Granite Falls City Council, the council approved a request from Southwest Initiative Foundation for an annual donation of $1,400.
