Area organization seeks donation for transitional housing
At the February 11th meeting of the Yellow Medicine County Board of Commissioners, Pastor Don McKee was in attendance on behalf of an organization in Montevideo that is currently in the process of raising funds for a transitional housing facility planned to open in Montevideo to serve the surrounding communities.
Shackelford wins AAA Award
The 2024-25 YME AAA Award Winner is Klaira Shackelford. Each year the Minnesota State High School League recognizes students who maintain a high GPA, while also being heavily involved in Arts and Activities throughout their high school careers.
Students celebrate resource officer
Last week, Yellow Medicine East High School students celebrated School Resource Officer Nelson in honor of School Resource Officer Appreciation Day. To show thanks, the 10th-grade Student Council surprised Officer Nelson with some of his favorite treats.
