DNR shares tips for planning a summer camping trip at Minnesota state parks, recreation areas and forests
As Minnesotans prepare for the summer season, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources is sharing information to help campers plan their adventures.
Minnesota DNR sets open water fishing regulations for walleye on Mille Lacs Lake
Anglers on Mille Lacs Lake will have the opportunity to harvest two walleye daily during the upcoming open water season, which begins on Saturday, May 10, and continues through Sunday, Nov. 30. Harvested walleye must be 17 inches or greater, and only one of them can be over 20 inches.

Custom Made Band brings their “Musical Memories Tour” throughout the area
The Custom Made Band has been playing together for about 20 years bringing their “Musical Memories Tour” throughout the area. The band’s multi-genre playlist includes classic rock and country from the 50’s, 60’s, and 70’s. The trio consists of Steve Mahlum from Sacred Heart playing guitar, Kris Nelson-Jensen from Willmar on bass and Jay Skrukrud of Kandyohi on drums. Combined, the trio has over 145 years of music and band experience that they share at a variety of venues in the area.

TOMF “Jam the Gym” fundraising eventcelebrating 30 years
The mission of the Tim Orth Memorial Foundation is to raise funds to assist children who are facing substantial medical expenses incurred as a result of a serious accident or illness. The Foundation is an all-volunteer organization that organizes fundraising events to support the children in the community in addition to raising the much-needed funds. Between the events on Friday, March 28th in Winthrop and Saturday, March 29th in Glencoe and Hector, assistance will be provided to nineteen recipients.
