The Department of Public Transformation’s third artist in residence under the new River Valley Ripple Artist in Residence Program, Betsy Pardick, hosted an Artists Salon last week. The event featured visual art related to Pardick’s original music that was performed at the event titled “The Art of Betsy”. Her visual pieces, she says, are emblematic of the music she has already written, and while spending time at the YES! House for her residency, Pardick also worked on refining some of her music, and recording a song. The next event to be held at the YES! House that is free and open to the public happens Saturday, March 30th when Jeff Bunnell presents The History Behind the Songs as a part of the Learn From Your Neighbor series. The event will be held from 7-8:30 p.m. Photo by Jessica Stölen
