Truax joins staff at Advocate Tribune

Keelie Truax recently joined the staff at the Advocate Tribune and is now the Office Manager at the newly opened Advocate Tribune office in Granite Falls. Truax will be available Monday through Thursday in the office from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Truax went to school for Office Management, and decided to apply for the position as it was in line with her schooling, she says. Since starting, she says what she enjoys most is getting to meet the people.

Shirlee Ulmer Shirlee Ulmer died on Saturday, July 23, 2022, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau, Wis. at the age of 73.

PRCA calls for metal art works

The Prairie Renaissance Cultural Alliance (PRCA) in Morris invites you to showcase your metal art — and compete for $600 in cash prizes — at West Central Minnesota’s first Metal Arts Festival. The Metal Arts Festival will take place Saturday, September 24 from Noon to 5 pm at the Stevens County Fairgrounds in Morris.

Hernly performs at Bluenose Gopher Public House

Taylor Hernly, a solo-act musician who has been playing music since he was in the 5th grade, performed at the Bluenose Gopher Public House in a free concert on Saturday, August 20th. Hernly’s appearance was inspired by his friend Luke Hendrickson who booked a tour of the northern part of the Midwest for Hernly, including the stop at Bluenose Gopher Public House.
