Barbara Ann Breuer was born on February 17, 1938 to Duane and Elsie (Quirk) Burch in Pipestone. She was baptized and confirmed at the First Presbyterian Church and attended school in Pipestone. On August 27, 1955, she was united in marriage to Gilbert Breuer.
Barb Benson, 81, of Granite Falls passed away on Friday, May 6, 2022, at the Granite Falls Health Care Center. Memorial services will be held on Friday, May 20 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Granite Falls. Tamera “Tammy” Lynn (Johnson) Berg, 55, of Clarkfield passed away peacefully at the St. Cloud Hospital on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, after a brain hemorrhage took her much too soon. She was surrounded by her husband, daughters, parents, sister, nieces, and grandson, as well as the hopes and prayers of so many who loved her.
Jaime and Bonnie Surerus of Hanley Falls passed away eight days apart in January of 2022. A visitation will be held for the couple on their wedding anniversary, Saturday, May 14, 2022 at the Wing-Bain Funeral Home in Granite Falls from 1 - 3 p.m. with military honors at 3 p.m. Burial will immediately follow at 3:15 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Granite Falls. Sometimes, I can get a little nostalgic. Mother’s Day can do that to me. It brings me back to being a kid and making cards for my mom or bringing home that special handmade gift with all kinds of things glued to a piece of construction paper. Reminiscing can make me deeply grateful. I can look back over the years and list so many wonderful things that have happened in my life. And even things that didn’t seem so wonderful at the time, hold positive meaning through the lessons and grace God has given me.
