Angels are intriguing. We don’t know a lot about them other than what we learn on TV or read in novels, and of course, the Bible. An important angel, named Gabriel, visited Mary, and told her she would give birth to the Savior of the World. That same angel, Gabriel, also visited Zechariah, the father of John the Baptist close to the same time Mary was visited, but almost 600 years earlier, Gabriel visited Daniel to interpret his vision for him.

Gustavus Adolphus College Announces Dean’s List

The Fall Semester Dean's List at Gustavus Adolphus College has been released. The list comprises students who have earned a 3.7-grade point average (based on a scale in which 4.0 = A) or higher for the semester ending in December 2021.

Last week, I wrote about how this week was going to have a whole new look. If you read that, and saw the front page this week, you're probably thinking "what the heck?" (I said heck, yes, because we're probably mostly Minnesotan here). Well, shortly after last week's paper went to print, it was announced that we would be working with the former company's systems for just one more week. Thus, no new look just yet.

YME boys basketball team defeats Benson

The YME boys basketball team defeated Benson 80-53 last week in an away game. Leaders in that game included Bryce Sneller who scored 16 points, while Owen Torvik added another 12 points to the team total. Scoring from that game follows:

The Quad County Cobras traveled to the Section 3A wrestling tournament in Hutchinson Saturday, placing 11th, with a total score of 37.
