Last week, I decided to take on redesigning my bedroom, as it’s the one room in the house I haven’t touched since initially decorating it when we moved in seven years ago. Around that same time, my grandmother had given me a box of keepsakes my grandfather had saved from his youth. At the time, it was still too sad for me to look through it and so I put it in a storage bench.

YME boys basketball team takes loss to RCW
Last Tuesday, the Yellow Medicine East boys basketball team took on the Renville County West Jaguars in Renville for a 62-67 loss. Leaders in the game included Bryce Sneller, who scored 22 points with 13 rebounds, while DJ Whitebuffalo added another 18 points with three 3-pointers to the team total.
Niemeyer returns to Granite Falls for art exhibit featuring recent works
The next featured artist in the Bluenose Gopher Public House Blue Tin Gallery is former Granite Falls resident Jammie Niemeyer. Niemeyer’s exhibit will be up through the end of February, featuring a combination of her work in wood burning arts, and painting.
