To those who I’d expect to Care:No surprise I’m sure but I’ve been sitting in conversations covering topics that in years past I would have been an active participant, but years have a way of clipping one’s wings and involvement.

Danielzuk receives regional Avera DAISY Nursing Award

Desiree Danielzuk, RN, Avera Granite Falls Health Center, has been named the most recent recipient of the DAISY nursing award for the Avera Marshall region.One nurse is selected for the award each quarter from across the Avera Marshall region, including Avera Granite Falls, Avera Marshall Regional Medical Center, and Avera Tyler.

USDA Touts Farmer Benefit Plans

Last week at the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) PowerXchange gathering, Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack announced the United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) use of Farmer Benefit Plans for Empowering Rural America (New ERA) and Powering Affordable Clean Energy (PACE) program funded clean energy projects.

Chances of snow through the weekend

Just when you thought it would be nice for the rest of March as spring officially arrived on Tuesday at 10:06 p.m., now comes the fact that winter hasn’t lost its grip on Minnesota.We will see chances for snow on Thursday and again on Saturday.
