Four summer Charity Barrel Series were held at Lee-Mar Ranch Equine Center over the summer. The event is held to raise funds for the 501c3 charitable organization that aims to improve the quality of life for those utilizing their therapeutic riding programs.

Owen Moseng, of Wood Lake in the tiedown calf roping competition of the Minnesota High School Rodeo Association’s Region Four Rodeo at Lee Mar Ranch this summer. The Region Four Rodeo featured junior high and high school students from around the state.

Exhibits throughout the grounds showed how work was done in the good ol’ days, with everything from making ice cream, to sawing logs at last summer’s Pioneer Power Good Ole’ Days and Threshing Show in Hanley Falls at Minnesota’s Machinery Museum. .

The Farmer’s Cooperative Elevator Company’s downtown elevator in Hanley Falls suffered extensive damage during last summer’s storms that produced high winds on multiple occasions. .

Avera Cancer Institute in Marshall, Minn. has been remodeled to add five more infusion bays for a total of 11.

The new mural on the back of the NIHCA building depicts a variety of Granite Falls icons. The mural was installed over the summer in time to be on display for Western Fest week.
