Celtic Cross Massage relocates to Granite Falls

In March of 2022, Cindy Miller, of Montevideo, relocated her business, Celtic Cross Massage from Fridley to Montevideo. Miller, who has been a massage therapist for over 15 years, has now made the decision to move the business to Granite Falls.

It’s almost Christmas and I’m still deep in thought about what it really means to have a God that loves me so much that this God became human and was willing to die for me so that I might live. Sometimes it’s just so overwhelming it’s hard to breathe.

The Natural Resources Conservation Service is announcing potential availability of Grant Agreements for the purpose of leveraging NRCS resources, addressing local natural resource issues, encouraging collaboration and developing Tribal and community- level conservation leadership in Minnesota. Proposals are requested from Federally recognized tribal governments for competitive consideration of grant agreement awards for projects for up to 3 years in duration for the following initiatives:

2023 Women in Ag Network conference February 7th

“Building Resilience on your Farm and in your Family,” the 2023 Women in Ag Network Conference will be February 7 in Willmar at the Willmar Conference Center (240 23rd Street SE, Willmar). This event will be a day of learning and networking for women involved in agriculture. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. with the conference program from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

One-man band to perform in Granite Falls February 25th

MG Bailey, whose first name is Matthew, will be visiting Granite Falls to play his live, one-man-band music at Bluenose Gopher Public House on Saturday, February 25th. Bailey, who hails from Homewood, Illinois, says he was first introduced to playing music as a kid when he was playing saxophone in the school band.

Take the 16th Annual Community Health Challenge: The objectives of the 16th Annual Community Health Challenge are to encourage people to achieve a healthier lifestyle and to get more people active in our community. Join together with three other friends to form a team. Collect points for weight loss, and participating in community events over a 12 week time frame. The cost of the challenge is $10 per person/$40 per team. Your reward, other than feeling better and looking better, may be a cash prize! The first weigh-in will be anytime between January 3rd – January 15th. We will have a middle weigh-in anytime between February 11th – 19th, and the final weigh-in will be anytime between March 25th – April 2nd. The deadline to register a team is Sunday, January 15th.
