Lavin launches new interior design focused E-Magazine

Betsy Lavin, of Wood Lake, opened her interior design business in her chiropractic building in Granite Falls in 2018. In doing work in life purpose coaching, one of the questions Lavin asked clients most is what would make them jump out of bed every day. She realized, that for her, interior design work was the answer.

YME girls take losses last week

Last Tuesday, the Yellow Medicine East Girls Varsity Basketball team took a loss to Minneota with a final score of 56-82. On Thursday, the team took to the courts again, taking on Russell- Tyler-Ruthton for a 53-72 defeat. Leaders in that game included Hannah Stark who scored 17 points, eight rebounds. Complete scoring from that game follows: YME (1-3) 19 34 — 53 R-T-R (3-0) 28 44 — 72 Individual Scoring: Hope Stark 7, Ella Cherveny 2, Ruby Bones 8, Stella Schuler 14, Alana Almich 5, Hannah Stark 17.

Tis’ the season – it’s a phrase we hear often these days. We are in a season of holiday celebrations, a season of hustle and bustle, a season of balancing want vs. need, and of course, a season of giving. And while December is a time we tend to think more about the spirit of giving and receiving, it’s a need that our communities and neighbors have year-round.
