The 5th annual Ride 2 Remember event was held Saturday in Granite Falls. The event, a continuation of the former KMS Memorial Ride that was held in memoriam of six local area soldiers that lost their lives while serving the country, including Matt Kahler, of Granite Falls, and Brent Koch of Morton. The Ride 2 Remember event was begun when the KMS Memorial Ride ended, with Rachael and Mike Felske, of New Prague, took over the event and restructuring it to what it is today. In addition to the ride itself, the day included a corn hole tournament, and in the evening, a meal at the Granite Falls American Legion, and three musical acts holding a concert. There were 271 registered riders for this years event. Organizer Rachael Felske said, “This years ride was our best yet! We had the privilege of making a $,7500 donation to Warriors Path and the honor of riding and remembering 61 heroes that served our country and are no longer with us.”
