In Protestant churches that follow the liturgical year, we have just entered the “Season after Pentecost.” During this season our altar paraments are green which for us in the Northern Hemisphere coincides well with our growing season. It’s easy for us to feel that this is the church season where we take time to study Jesus’ ministry and grow in our faith. This season lasts for 24 weeks, from June 9 through November 23, 2022. Our gospel lessons during this time are from the Gospel of Luke, which tells us that we are in Year C. Year A concentrates on the Gospel of Matthew, Year B on Mark, and Year C on Luke.

Jans graduates Bemidji State

Local student Douglas Jan earned a Master of Special Education degree in Special Education from Bemidji State University in Bemidji, Minn., during the 2021-2022 school year. Bemidji State University educates people to lead inspired lives.

McGrath named to spring Dean’s List at University of Nebraska

Kelsey McGrath of Hazel Run has been named to the Deans’ List at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for the spring semester of the 2021-22 academic year. McGrath, a sophomore majoring in elementary education, was named to the Dean’s List for the College of Education and Human Sciences.

Students of Rhoda Nelson of rural Clarkfield were presented in a Spring recital on June 2, 2022 at New Life Church in Clarkfield. The recital represented a culmination of work done throughout the school year. Awards and certificates were presented for the following events:

Newly launched business features licensed drone photography

Since 2017, Tyler Knutson and his wife Jenny have been working on a freelance basis since around 2017 to provide help to small businesses with social media marketing. In those years, the couple has tried different branding, but held off on marketing and branding their business to focus on the work itself.
