I recently read about a new museum opening in Brainerd that celebrates all things pop culture. The museum features a variety of rooms that center on various interests, including rooms that have fully functioning gaming consoles from throughout the years, where visitors can actually sit down and enjoy a round of Pac Man, or a round of Oregon Trail on an old green and black screen PC.

Laura Milbrandt, Housing/Weatherization Program Director for Prairie Five Community Action in Montevideo was awarded the James Gardner Service Award for the Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP). This award was presented by the National Association of State Community Services Programs at Arlington, VA, February 6, 2025. Laura was nominated for this award by the Minnesota Department of Commerce Weatherization Program Staff.

This time of the year can be unpredictable and wide ranging in what kind of weather that we can receive here in Minnesota. We had record or near record high temperatures on Monday before another winter storm hit parts of Minnesota.
