Colder, drier weather pattern for the month

It was a cold start to the week. Most locations in central, west central, and northern Minnesota fell from 15 below to 25 below zero Monday night into Tuesday morning. Thankfully the winds were light, but there was still a Cold Weather Advisory posted for some locations in the region.

United Way to host first ever Radio-a-thon

Drawing inspiration from the United Way Tele-a-thon of yesteryears, UWSWMN is ecstatic to announce a partnership with Marshall Radio for the first ever RADIO-A-THON. The event will be held February 19th. Join United Way of Southwest Minnesota from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM for a day packed with heartwarming stories and inspiration from community partners, board members, and special guests.

I recently wrote about my cursed attempts at booking stays while traveling. I’d had a snafu with my most recent attempt, accidentally initially booking a cabin an hour away from where I was supposed to be, as it had the same name as a location in the town I was supposed to stay.
