Jessica Stölen-Jacobson Editor jstolen-jacobson@cherryroad.com One of the bands headlining The Rock Dining and Events upcoming RockFest celebration to be held Saturday, August 27th is Minnesota-based band Drink 182. The band consists of three members - Jeremiah Witucki (on bass and vocals), Lance Saxerud (drums), and Jake Johnson (guitar and vocals).
Taylor Hernly, a solo-act musician who has been playing music since he was in the 5th grade, performed at the Bluenose Gopher Public House in a free concert on Saturday, August 20th. Hernly’s appearance was inspired by his friend Luke Hendrickson who booked a tour of the northern part of the Midwest for Hernly, including the stop at Bluenose Gopher Public House.

City Council approves ordinance to establish venue in criminal cases Cynthia Christians Reporter cchristians@cherryroad.com Taylor Hernly is coming to Granite Falls play his folk rock music at Bluenose Gopher Public House on Saturday, August 20th. Hernly has been playing music since he was in 5th grade (about 14 years ago), starting with drum lessons.
Brady Wrede made a stop at Bluenose Gopher Public House in Granite Falls on his current Wander North Summer Tour last Thursday. Wrede, who got his start in music playing at a small church in Dell Rapids, South Dakota at 14 years old, says he never really imagined that music would be his career.
The Split Rail Saddle Club held their July Fun Show at Lee-Mar Ranch and Equine Center last Friday evening. The event included competitions in a number of categories including Key Race, Egg and Spoon, Poles, Pennant, Jump Figure Eight, Barrels, Ball Drop, and more. Competitions are divided into age divisions from Pee-Wee to Senior Plus. The category winners are awarded ribbons and prizes.
