Dryer Doctors LLC to expand new and used equipment lot

Dryer Doctors LLC in Montevideo has been in business for six years, offering grain dryer, and grain handling sales and service. The company found its beginnings in 2017, when Josh Bauman, John Keller, and Leon Fokken, all co-workers at Custom Ag left to work for Northern Grain, and only a year and a half later, Northern Grain closed its doors. “We had calls from farmers saying we don’t care if you’re working at Walmart - you’d better figure this out because this fall when we have harvest, you’re going to be in my yard,” says John Keller. “So out of necessity for the farmers, we just said ok.”

Kuhlmann Real Estate, Inc celebrates 60 years in 2023

In 2023, Kuhlmann Real Estate, Inc celebrates sixty years in business. The company was founded by Roger Kuhlmann and Ron Smith in 1963, operating under the name Kuhlmann & Smith, Inc. At the time, Roger was an independent insurance agency while Ron was selling pianos in what is now part of Valentino’s restaurant. In 1963, the average home sale was $10,000 - $12,000. For context, in 2022, the average price of a home in Montevideo was $143,000.

Eden Salon opens in downtown Granite Falls

On February 20th, Rebecca Donner opened Eden Salon in downtown Granite Falls. Donner always enjoyed working on hair and makeup both for herself, and for friends and family. When she was a sophomore in High School in Granite Falls she began working with photographer Signature Stills by Mariah, doing hair and make-up for senior photos, which inspired her to turn her hobby into a career.

Pop-up fashion show held downtown

Suree Sompamitwong held a pop-up fashion show art exhibit at The YES! House on Saturday evening. Her passion for fashion with a purpose was contagious as she mixed and mingled with every guest that came to her show. She spoke candidly about her journey with her mental health and bringing awareness to a subject that can be so difficult for people to bring up or discuss.
