Irvine completes training
Stone Irvine just returned from an annual training in Michigan, after 18 days, with a challenge coin, AAM & COA awards. Stone was included as one of the “real life” medical support soldiers in a ground evac. unit for Michigan’s Northern Strike Training. Stone is in the back row, far left, in the large group photo. Local artists to display at return of Meander Art Crawl
Jessica Stölen-Jacobson The Meander Art Crawl returns this year September 30th through October 2nd. The annual event offers a variety of stops at artists studios and artist hosting locations along a route through the Upper Minnesota River Valley from Clinton to Granite Falls.

This year, the estimates are average or below-average for several species of waterfowl that nest in Minnesota.

Walk-in Access lands open starting September 1st
Minnesota Department of Natural Resources Beginning Thursday, Sept. 1, hunters can access nearly 29,000 acres of private land across 39 counties in western and south-central Minnesota through the Walk-In Access program, which pays landowners to allow public hunting on their property.
Advanced screening of new Ken Burns documentary scheduled at Fagen Fighters WWII Museum
Jessica Stölen-Jacobson On September 8th, the Fagen Fighters WWII Museum will host an advanced screening of a new documentary by long-time filmmaker, director and producer for PBS, Ken Burns, with Lynn Novick and Sarah Botstein. The event is in partnership with the Jewish Community Relations Council of Minnesota and the Dakotas.

Springboard for the Arts Springboard for the Arts is excited to announce the new cohort of Rural Regenerator Fellows for 2022. Springboard for the Arts has selected 10 Rural Regenerator Fellows who live or work in rural communities across the Upper Midwest.
