Prairie Five employee awarded

Laura Milbrandt, Housing/Weatherization Program Director for Prairie Five Community Action in Montevideo was awarded the James Gardner Service Award for the Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP). This award was presented by the National Association of State Community Services Programs at Arlington, VA, February 6, 2025. Laura was nominated for this award by the Minnesota Department of Commerce Weatherization Program Staff.

Mortenson beaks school record

Last week, Yellow Medicine East freshman Bailey Mortenson broke the girl’s basketball school record for most points scored in a single game. Mortenson scored 43 points in the Sting’s 84-47 section win over Wabasso. The record was previously held by Jenny Kuehn (2000 graduate) with 37 points scored in a game.

YME FFA receives donation
