The Hawk Creek Watershed Project (HCWP) is holding its 23rd Annual Information and Appreciation Meeting on Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at the Renville Community Center, starting with registration at 9 am and ending with lunch at 12:30. Presenters include Dr. Kami D. Anez, President of Anez Consulting, Inc. of Willmar, who will discuss the impacts and interactions of healthy soil on our health. Dr. Matt Simcik with the University of Minnesota School of Public Health, will present on PFAS, commonly known as “forever chemicals”, and how they affect our health and water quality and what actions are being taken to mitigate them.
At a special board meeting on January 23, 2025, the Montevideo School Board unanimously voted to select Dr. Jamie Skjeveland as the district’s next superintendent.
