We are well into March and it looks like this month is going to be one that is characterized as being an active month. We started off the month snowy and that trend continued Sunday night into Monday.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation - District 8 is receiving a $2.5 million dollar federal award to improve safety at the intersection of Highway 23 and Highway 9 in New London and a $1.9 million dollar award to install rumble strips on state highways throughout District 8. The funding is made possible through the Highway Safety Improvement Program, also known as HSIP.

There’s so much negativity surrounding us these days, so when our CherryRoad leaders called a meeting to discuss the new feature “Angels Among Us” - a magazine that will be published in April, I was excited to get to work on it.

Answer: You are able to have ladders or ramps secured to the side of an enclosed trailer as long as you do not exceed the width of 8 feet 6 inches. This is the maximum dimension that may be operated on Minnesota roadways without a special permit.
We had another interesting winter storm hit Minnesota late Sunday into Monday. This disturbance brought snow and freezing rain to parts of the state. Once again, it did create some travel difficulties to portions of the region.
In my last article, I shared how important hearing is to our ability to remember. As we share with many families, if a person does not hear a conversation, it is very difficult to remember it.
March is here! Think Spring! January was busy at the Chamber office. Each month, about 50 inquiries are made thru telephone calls, emails, Facebook comments, and visits to the chamber office/lobby.
Clarkfield Legion & Auxiliary Meeting will be held at 3pm at City Hall on Wed., March 8th. The sons of Norway will meet at 2pm on Sat., March 11th at the Granite Falls Kilowatt Center.
