Jon Tollakson wins first Late Model feature at Fiesta City Speedway

Brady Hagen took the lead to start the Pure Stock feature. Tad Peterson took the lead from Hagen on lap three, but Hagen would retake the lead on the very next lap. Cody Hatch would battle side by side with Hagen with two laps to go. Hatch would take over the lead as the field came to take the white flag and went on to get his fourth win of the season.

Court hearing in former Police Chief’s charges results in additional scheduled hearing

On Monday afternoon, former Upper Sioux police chief Christopher Allen Lee, 53, of Clarkfield, made an appearance in court in what was scheduled to be a Settlement Conference. Lee, who appeared by way of Zoom, appeared at the hearing while driving a motor vehicle, and Judge Laurence Stratton, who discovered Lee was driving while asking Lee to turn on his camera, halted court momentarily to wait for Lee to pull over to attend. It should be noted that in the court rules for Zoom hearings, it states that the attending must not be moving (either driving, walking, bicycling or otherwise).

Third Charity Barrel Series held

Emma Jacobson, of Hanley Falls, with horse Hank, took part in the Charity Barrel Series at Lee Mar Ranch Equine Center. The series is held for youth to raise funds for the Lee-Mar Ranch Equine Center’s therapeutic riding program, and other such activities that are a part of the center’s mission. Kilowatt Community Center Summer Lifeguard Hours: Monday - Thursday: 1pm - 6pm Friday: Family Swim Days - NO Lifeguards on Duty Saturday & Sunday: 1pm - 6pm *Hours are subject to change, so please call ahead* Pickleball at the KCC: Groups are playing on the following days / times: Monday’s & Wednesday’s - 1:00pm – 3:00pm Tuesday’s & Thursday’s nights - 6:00pm - 8:00pm Friday’s - 9:00am - 11:00am FREE for members, and just the daily fee for non-members. No experience necessary.
