Silhouettes take top scores in Camden Conference Championship
On Friday evening, the Yellow Medicine East Silhouettes participated in the Camden Conference Championship, taking second place in the Jazz Division to Lac qui Parle Valley/Dawson-Boyd. In the High-Kick Division, the Silhouettes took first place. YME All- Conference members in high-kick are Jenna Weir and Kylie Knollenberg.
YME boys take on KMS, LQPV last week
Last Tuesday, the Yellow Medicine East boys basketball team took on Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg for a 47-77 loss. Leaders in that game included Bryce Sneller who scored 14 points toward the team total. Complete scoring from that game follows:
Quad County Wrestling places in HighWater Ethanol Invite
Over the last week, the Quad County Wrestling team took part in two invites, placing seventh and fifth respectively. The team is made up of wrestlers from MACCRAY, Renville County West and Yellow Medicine East.
YME boys suffer 62-70 fall to Dawson-Boyd
The YME Boys basketball team hosted Dawson-Boyd Thursday evening for a 62-70 Camden Conference loss. Leaders in that game included Bryce Sneller who scored 24 points with eight rebounds, while Nikson Knapper added another 12 points to the team total. Complete scoring from that game follows:
YME Girls defeats Kerkhoven-Murdock -Sunburg 46-19
Last Tuesday evening, the YME girls basketball team took on Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg in a Camden Conference home game for a 46-19 victory. Leaders in that game included Shelby Mortenson, who scored 28 points with a double-double, 11 rebounds, and two blocks. Ruby Bones added another 14 points with seven rebounds, six assists for the team total. Complete scoring from that game follows:
BOWLING BLOTTER
There are a couple of weeks left of Crazy 8’s and then Granite Bowl is taking a break to get the scoring up. Granite Bowl is always looking for more bowlers. Check out the Granite Bowl’s Facebook page for more information and updates.
Silhouettes take first at MACCRAY
The Yellow Medicine East Silhouettes took part in the MACCRAY competition earlier this week. The Silhouettes placed: Varsity High Kick 1st, JV High Kick 1st, and JV B Jazz 2nd. • They host their home competition this Saturday. January 22nd. Doors open at 10:15 am, competition starts at 11:00 am.
YME boys basketball team falls to RCW
The YME boys hosted Renville County West last Tuesday evening, suffering a 67-77 loss. Leaders in that game included Nickson Knapper, who scored 18 points, while Cody Dahlager added another 16 to the team total. Complete scoring from that game follows:
