Dorothy Elise Brusven was born on March 9, 1925, in Clarkfield to Elmer and Martha (Hatlen) Aakvik. She was baptized and confirmed in the Clarkfield Lutheran Church. She graduated from the Clarkfield High School in 1943 and went on to school and graduated from the Minnesota School of Business in Minneapolis. Dorothy worked three years as a cashier and bookkeeper at Charter Loan Company in Minneapolis; one year as secretary at the Durkee Atwood Company in Minneapolis, and then one year as a secretary at the Clarkfield Bank.

Shirley Fay Gladitsch, 89, of Vesta passed away Sunday, June 26, 2022, at her home. Memorial Services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Vesta. Visitation was one hour prior to the service at church on Tuesday. Interment was in the Vesta Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. Marie Stelter, 93, of Belview, formerly of Echo, passed away on Friday, July 1, 2022, at Parkview Nursing Home. Funeral Services will take place at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 11, 2022, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Vesta. Visitation will be one hour prior at the church. Interment will be at the Vesta Cemetery. A livestream of the service will be available at the St. John’s Lutheran Church webpage and a recording of the service will be available at www.sunsetfuneralassociation.com. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to Great Plains Lutheran High School in Watertown, S.D. or the Christian education school of your choice.

Dorothy Brusven, 97, of Clarkfield died on Friday, June 24, 2022 at the Clarkfield Care Center. Visitation will be held on Friday, July 8, 2022 at 1 p.m. at St. Lucas Lutheran Church, rural Cottonwood, followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.

Marian (Schubert) Rogge passed away at Rosewood Care Center in Montevideo on Sunday, June 12, 2022. A Celebration of Life will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Montevideo on Friday, July 1 at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Terrace Lawn Memory Garden in Montevideo.
