Wanda Claudette Lee

Wanda Claudette Lee was born on February 4, 1961, in Chicago, Ill. Her parents were Harold Begay and Romona Blue. Wanda grew up around Granite Falls and the Montevideo areas and attended school mainly in Montevideo. Wanda was married to Herbert Howell on his grandfather’s place near Granite Falls. She became a mother, which kept her busy. Later in life, she drove semi over the road, and enjoyed seeing the country behind the wheel. In 2013, Wanda moved to Sioux City, Iowa and lived there until just recently. While in Sioux City, she worked at Wells Blue Bunny and also Tyson Foods. Wanda loved fashion and keeping up with the latest beauty trends. Her collection of purses seemed to be endless and going shopping was a highlight. Wanda had a talent for growing plants. Wanda is survived by her children, Alena Eaton of Granite Falls, Alvin (Megan) Howell of Granite Falls, Herbert Howell of Granite Falls, Adrian Howell of Granite Falls; grandchildren, Arabella Howell, Emmanuel Boklep, Micah Branham, Charles Howell, Adrianna Howell, Klayton Miller, Alexis Howell, great-grandson, Sirius Esparza; brother, Timothy Blue of Granite Falls; stepmom, Sheila Begay of Granite Falls; as well as other relatives and friends. Wanda is preceded in death by her parents; son, Charles Howell; sisters, Dinah Begay-Anderson, Phyllis Shadle. Arrangements are with the Wing-Bain Funeral Home of Granite Falls.
