NYBERG LELAND WHITE

Dianne White (nee Hansen) was born on September 1, 1946, in Granite Falls to Ernest Hansen and Anne (Klein) Hansen, the 5th of eight children born to this union. On April 15, 2022, Dianne was welcomed into God’s hands. As the older twin to Susanne Hansen by one half hour, Dianne relished her role as the “older twin”!! Dianne was baptized and confirmed in St. Andrews Catholic Church in Granite Falls. Dianne graduated from Granite Falls High School in 1964. As a student there, she was active in cheerleading, head band majorette, spring play, annual staff, Midget school paper, GAA, pep club, library club and photo club. After graduation she attended cosmetology school and spent many years within that profession. In 1968 she was married to Steven Nyberg and they made their home in Northeast Minneapolis. Dianne’s true love of her adult life was her second husband, Vern Leland until his untimely death from a heart attack. Lastly, Dianne was married to Chuck White from Collinsville, Ill. Dianne was very active in bowling, dancing, singing karaoke, Red Hat Society, making her own jewelry, was an avid reader, many volunteer adventures and community projects. Because of Dianne’s practical and positive outlook on life, she listened to her intuition and often made decisions with ease. This positive outlook also allowed each of her sons to believe he was her favorite! Dianne was preceded in death by her father Ernest Hansen, mother Anne Hansen, brother Ernie Hansen, Jr., sister Dodie West, nephew Mitchell West and infant daughter Anne Marie. She is survived by sons Jason (Heather), Jeffrey (Anna), Scott (Amanda), five grandchildren: Alana, Collin, Trenton, Charlotte and Maximus, sisters Arlene Klecker, Rosemary Homan, Susanne Anderson (Arlo), Char Weidendorf (George), Patee Spray (Paul), sisterinlaw Jean Hansen and many nieces and nephews. A private Celebration of Dianne’s Life was on June 25, 2022, at the Geisler Family Farm, Pine City and was attended by many many family members.
