Kathern Ann (Mayer) Bellicot of Clarkfield was born August 17, 1954, in Hastings to Paul and Verna (Hone) Mayer and died while holding hands in prayer on August 11, 2022, in Granite Falls, just a week before her 68th birthday.
 Kathy grew up and spent most of her childhood years in Hastings with the family moving to Richford, Vt. where she graduated from high school in 1972. After graduation, she returned to Hastings.
 In 1976 Kathy met Alain “Frenchie”, her husband of 45 years at Sunday morning church. Kathy followed Frenchie to Davis, Calif., in 1976 and were married there on June 25, 1977. Shortly after they were married, they moved back to Hastings and then to Clarkfield in 1979, where they resided together and raised two sons.
 Kathy is survived by her husband “Frenchie”; brother, Tom, and her sons Brian (Kristin), Ken (partner Kristyn and deceased spouse Sallie) and five grandchildren: Sydney and Peter (Kristin); Sophia, Evelyn, and Grace (Sallie); and newly blessed with Kellan, Aidyn and Eve (Kristyn). She was surrounded with lifelong friends and extended family from the U.S. and France.
 Kathy was an active member of Clarkfield Lutheran Church and the local communities throughout her life. She was a longtime Sunday School teacher at CLC and served on the Clarkfield City Council. Kathy also worked a number of years for several local businesses, including Lynner Furniture, Kings’ Clothing, Yellow Medicine County Bank and most recently Minnwest Bank. She loved the daily interactions with each of her customers, coworkers, and friends, speaking often of greatly missing this in retirement. Kathy enjoyed spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren, and grand-puppies at Lake Minnewaska most of the year.
 Kathy is preceded in death by her father; mother; sisters, Carroll, Peggy, Nancy and Shirley, and daughter-in-law, Sallie.
 A remembrance and prayer service will be held Wednesday, August 17 at the Clarkfield Lutheran Church. Memorials preferred and will be directed to causes dear to Kathy’s heart.
