Opening night of the Meander Art Crawl featured a sketch comedy parody show titled A Granite Falls Home Companion. Friday evening’s show, directed and written by Jessie Hennen (far left) featured local community actors portraying area residents in skits written about the local area including Madi RT and Branden Yackley (pictured). Yellow Medicine East art and shop students constructed the set for the production - a reproduction of the Volstead House museum in Granite Falls. This activity was made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Southwest Minnesota Arts Council, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.Photo by Jessica Stolen
