The City of Clarkfield once again will have a new face at the table in the future after the resignation of City Administrator Rebecca Schrupp.

Schrupp will begin a new adventure as she heads over to Canby to become their new city administrator in October.

During the August 2 Canby council meeting, Schrupp was listed as one of the last four final candidates for the position. The other finalists were Dolores Caitlin of Menomonie, Wis., Thomas Lammers of Redwood Falls, and Harry Staver of Bandon, Ore. According to the Canby News, there were 11 total applications turned in for the position and the council had voted on their top three picks from the final four. The four candidates were then interviewed at a later date in August, with Schrupp earning the spot.

The council accepted Schrupp’s resignation during a special meeting on September, 12.

The City will be taking applications for the position until 4:30 p.m. on October 10. The first round review of applications will take place on September 26.
