A rollover crash occured last week in Renville County on Highway 212, just east of Granite Falls at 9:16 a.m. on January 14. A 2016 Ford Transit van was westbound on Highway 212 by Kelby Trent Brothen, 63, when it hit a patch of ice near Renville County Road 10. According to the State Patrol, the driver lost control of the van and it entered the south ditch where it rolled over. The vehicle came to a rest on its roof. All occupants of the vehicle were transported to the Granite Falls Hospital, with the State Patrol stating that one passenger had a minory injury while the others were checked and released. Passengers in the van included a 14 year old, three 15 year olds, and a 17 and 7 year old. The State Patrol did not list the city of residence for the passengers or the driver. Assisting at the scene were the Renville County Sheriff, Granite Falls Ambulance, and the Sacred Heart Fire Department.
