The Kilowatts played Sacred Heart on Sunday. The away team took the lead early with a run in the top of the first. They scored another in the top of the 4th. The Kilowatts were held down defensively despite getting some runners on base.

They finally broke through in the bottom of the 8th inning. Jordan Odegard hit a triple. Craig Listul hit him home with a single to get the Kilowatts on the board 1-2. Cam Vien did a sacrifice bunt to advance the runner. Zac Envoldsen hit a single and charged to first. It was a very close call, but he was out. Chase Richter managed to advance to 3rd. Adam Brewers was up to bat. He got to a full count with two outs. He then pulled off a single, tieing the game 2-2. Tyler Dammann hit a single to load the bases. During the next hit, there was another close out at 2nd, leaving all three runners stranded.

In the top of the 9th, 3rd baseman Cam Vien fielded a ball to 2nd, but there wasn’t enough time to complete the double play. The next batter hit a double, scoring a run. The next batter walked. 2nd baseman Envoldsen caught two fly balls to end the inning, but another runner managed to score, putting Sacred Heart ahead 2-4. The Kilowatts didn’t score in the bottom of the 9th.
