Inez L. Quigley, 98, of Sunburg, died Tuesday, September 27, 2106 at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar. Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 1, at Hope Lutheran Church in Sunburg. Visitation was from 5-7:00 p.m., Friday at the church and continued one hour prior to the service. Burial was at Calvary Cemetery in Murdock.

Inez Quigley was born to John and Christine (Johnson) Uttermark on February 12, 1918 on the farm near Clara City. She was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Clara City. She attended country school. During this time she helped her parents and siblings on the farm. Inez would help them with cooking, babysitting, farming and everything in between.

On August 18, 1936, Inez married Roy Quigley at the family farm. The couple lived and farmed in the Maynard area and later moved to Montevideo area in 1940. In 1959 they moved to their farm by Sunburg where they operated a dairy farm. They retired in 1996. Inez was a loving mother and grandma, she enjoyed crocheting, and quilting. Each grandchild received at least one quilt from her. She also enjoyed playing cards, listening to country music, reading and spending time with all her family. Many afternoons were spent with extended family and friends around the kitchen table.

She is survived by her children: Daughter-in-law, Tamera Quigley of Barret, Phyllis (Garry) Norman of Montevideo, Douglas Quigley of Montevideo, Jerold Quigley of Sunburg, Carol Herberg of Willmar, Richard Quigley of Watson, Phillip (Jean) Quigley of Montevideo, Gloria Quigley of Sunburg, Katherine Quigley (Terry) of Willmar and Patsy (Kevin) Olson of Montevideo; and Vern Herberg (family friend), 40 grandchildren, 72 great-grandchildren, 15 step-great grandchildren, 40 great-great-grandchildren, 9 step-great-great grandchildren, sister Hazel Harguth of Clara City. Inez was preceded in death by her husband, Roy, parents, children: Roger, Lyle, Pat, Pauline; daughters-in-law, Patricia and Sandy; son-in-law, Dennis Rorvig; grandchildren: Dwight, Jamie, and Kyle; grandson-in-law, Larry Bauer; great-grandchildren: Lucas, Phillip Michael and Zachary; two brothers and five sisters.
