Linda Schoep was born June 5, 1948 in Soest, Germany to Reinhilde Krauss. Linda passed away at their beloved lake home, embraced with the warmth of family on September 27, 2016 at 8:40 p.m. Linda chose the way in which she left this earth, with dignity and surrounded by beauty.
Linda is survived by her father Matthias Krauss, husband Berdette Schoep, son Jeff Schoep and his eight children, daughter Tawny Garvey, as well as her two sisters and brother Harold Krauss. She is preceded in death by her mother Reinhilde Krauss.
Linda married Berdette Schoep on June 10, 1967 in Nelingen, Germany. They returned to the U.S. shortly after to begin their adventurous lives together. Linda and Berdette went on to raise two lovely children in Clarkfield.
Linda later graduated from William Mitchell College of Law in 1984 with a Juris Doctorate; a goal that had been in her sights from the moment she stepped foot back on U.S. soil. Linda successfully practiced Worker’s Compensation and Personal Injury law for the past 32 years; devoted to her clients, literally until her final weeks.
Linda was passionate about travel and loved photography. Sunsets were her ultimate inspiration. Their treasured lake home was positioned on the east side of Lake Ida just so she could religiously capture the evening sunsets. Her zest for life, intelligence, and caring heart will be greatly missed. The heavens have gained a new angel.
