Here's how many people have received a COVID-19 vaccine in Yellow Medicine County

Yellow Medicine County has administered more than 3,408 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, as cases continue to rise in the state, according to data from the Minnesota Department of Health.

That's up 23.93% from the previous week's tally of 2,750 COVID-19 doses administered.

In the latest week, Minnesota reported 480,845 cases of coronavirus, an increase of 1.15% from the week before.

Last week, Gov. Tim Walz announced that Minnesotans have received more than 1 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine.

“Every time a Minnesotan gets their shot, they are protecting themselves and moving our entire state closer to ending this pandemic," said Walz in a release last week. "We still need more vaccine from the federal government and we have a long road ahead, but we can truly see the light at the end of the tunnel."

The five counties that have administered the highest number of COVID-19 vaccine doses as of Feb. 25 are St. Louis, Olmsted, Dakota, Ramsey and Hennepin.
